Meet The Pastor & Our Church Family
Pastor Saavedra
Hello! I’m Elpidia Saavedra, Pastor at Life Church West | Iglesia Vida (LC).
My family and I have been faithfully serving LC since 2017 under the leadership of Pastor Frank Meneses. It is a great honor to step into this new role with his blessing and recommendation.
I have been serving the Lord Jesus Christ for 26 years and have dedicated myself to deepening my theological understanding. I completed a ministerial certification and ordination program through Berean University to further my education in ministry.
In addition to my role at LC, I am privileged to serve as the Mayor of the City of Toppenish, and I work full-time as a dental health professional. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene and a Master of Business Administration.
My husband, Alex, and I have been married for over 25 years, and we are blessed with three wonderful adult children: Ariana, Emma, and Andrew. Our family also includes our son-in-law, Richard, who is married to Ariana, and we are grateful for his place in our lives.
As we embark on this new journey at Life Church West, I am confident that God will bless our service for His honor and glory and bless all those who join us in this mission.

VISION
At Life Church West our vision is to be a beacon of hope and a source of spiritual growth. We aim to reach the unreached by spreading the Gospel to those who have not yet experienced the love of Christ. Serving the Community by providing support and assistance to those in need, fostering a spirit of unity and care. And to help transform lives by helping individuals grow in their faith and personal relationship with God.
MISSION
We believe in the transformative power of the Gospel and are committed to living out the teachings of Jesus in our daily lives. Our core beliefs center on the Trinity—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—and the Bible as the inspired word of God. We hold that salvation comes through Jesus Christ, and we emphasize the importance of prayer, worship, and loving and serving others as Jesus taught.
MINISTRIES & PROGRAMS
Life Church West provides a variety of ministries and programs designed to meet the needs of all age groups. Our children’s ministry offers fun and engaging activities that help kids learn about God’s love. The youth ministry supports teenagers in their faith journey by providing fellowship and teaching opportunities. For adults, we have small group Bible studies that meet regularly to deepen their understanding of scripture and grow in faith. Additionally, our community outreach initiatives focus on serving and uplifting the Yakima community.
